Where is Agra

Agra is situated on the banks of Yamuna River between Mathura and Surajpur in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The fort of Agra used to be the royal fort of the Mughal Empire in history. This fort is also included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site and it is situated only 1.5 kilometers away from the famous Taj Mahal of Agra. This fort is often known as the city of walls.
